Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Orion's website, documentation, and API (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.

The Services

Orion provides read access to unified DeFi position data for the Stellar network. Data is served on a best-effort basis, is derived from public ledger state, and may be incomplete or delayed. Orion is an information service — it does not custody assets, execute transactions, or provide financial, investment, or legal advice.

Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys. Keep your keys secret, rotate them if compromised, and do not share them. You must provide accurate account information and be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

• Do not exceed the rate limits of your plan or attempt to bypass them.
• Do not resell or redistribute the Services as a substantially similar product.
• Do not use the Services to break the law, infringe rights, or harm others.
• Do not probe, scan, or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.

Plans, billing, and overages

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Annual prepayment includes two months free. If you exceed your plan limits, we alert you and then throttle requests until the next period — we do not issue surprise overage invoices. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; changes take effect immediately and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Service changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services, and we aim to give reasonable notice of material changes. Except where a plan specifies a service level, the Services are provided without an uptime guarantee.

Intellectual property

Orion and its licensors own the Services, including the software, documentation, and branding. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services in accordance with your plan. On-chain data itself is public.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for how you use the data, including any financial decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orion will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Services in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
