This Privacy Policy explains how Orion ("Orion", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, documentation, and API (together, the "Services"). Orion serves public on-chain data for the Stellar network; we do not custody funds and never ask for wallet private keys.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an organization or API key, we collect an email address and basic account details needed to provision and bill for access.
• Usage data. We record API request metadata — timestamps, endpoints called, response status, and volume — to operate rate limits, prevent abuse, and bill usage.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent) captured when you access the Services.
• On-chain queries. The blockchain addresses you query are processed to return results. This data is already public on the Stellar ledger.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
• Authenticate requests and enforce plan limits.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse or security incidents.
• Bill for usage and communicate about your account.
• Comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, hosting, analytics, and payment processing) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Orion and its users.

Retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active and usage logs for as long as needed to operate and secure the Services and meet legal and accounting requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
